Residential Visualization

Stills, films and virtual tours for residential developments and refurbishments.

Residential work is where most of what I do lives. Whether it's a full refurbishment in the middle of a city or a villa development on open coastline, the goal is the same: give someone a real sense of what it would actually feel like to live there, not just what it looks like from the street.

Residential architectural visualization covers a wide range of building types and a wide range of buyers, which means the visual approach has to change with it. A discreet urban refurbishment aimed at a design-conscious buyer wants restraint, texture and honest material representation. A coastal villa development aimed at a lifestyle buyer wants light, openness and a strong sense of setting. Neither approach transfers cleanly to the other project.

For residential clients, stills and virtual tours tend to do the heaviest lifting in a sales or marketing process, since buyers want to see a unit and move through it at their own pace rather than take someone else's word for how a floor plan feels in person. Films and cinemagraphs get brought in where a project has a stronger sense of place to sell, like a coastline, a mature treeline, or a distinctive urban context that a still image alone doesn't fully carry.

Interior visualization matters just as much as the exterior here, since most residential buyers are ultimately deciding based on how the inside of a home feels to occupy, not just how the building reads from the street. Material palettes, light quality and spatial flow all need to be represented honestly enough to survive a buyer's expectations once construction is actually finished.

Whether the project is a single boutique development, a larger multi-phase residential community, or a comprehensive refurbishment of an existing building, the visualization approach gets built around the specific buyer that project is trying to reach, rather than applied as a one-size-fits-all package.

For developers, architecture studios and homeowners working on residential real estate visualization, this is the broadest category of what I do — and the two sections below break it down further into villas and private homes on one side, and larger residential communities and condominiums on the other.
